Speed of Light - Pushing Fomapan 400 to 1600 ASA

Being a faithful user of Fomapan 400 film I became even more happy when I read somewhere that there can be some benefits from pushing it. Both speed (of course) and contrast increases, both of which I am a fan of. So to try it for myself I begun by loading my Halina 35X for the holiday by the sea.

I am very happy by the grittier contrast that the push process brings. It means that I don't have to spend as much time editing to reach that look. Some of these photos were not edited apart from by the scanning automation.

And then I exposed another roll through my Olympus Pen F. I am very happy with the results!

Celebrating 20 + Articles Elsewhere

I have had a fun eight years burrowing deep into the world of film photography. Within a few weeks my 22nd contribution to 35mmc.com will be published. The website, which is run by a small group of people, publishes contributions from the global community of mostly film photographers. I have contributed sporadically with reviews and other articles on  photography related issues since May 2017.
